Hanging Together

My piece Hanging Together is in a sweet textile show in Hermosa Beach, CA.   Close enough for me to attend the opening! My big basket is cotton rope wrapped and bound in lots of fabric strips.  Part of a series from a couple of years ago.  Lots of visitors.  Textiles ROCK!!!  Three of us from Textile Arts LA (TALA) had pieces in this juried exhibit.

Bombarded

I worked and worked on this piece and finally just painted the whole thing.  And then touched up some of the red, etc. That seemed to do the trick - now it coheres and is more mysterious.

CASCADES

There are currently 7 Cascades in the series.  They have been inspired by my large bag of handmade lace from the late 19th and early 20th centuries - passed down in my family.  Each is hand stitched, of course!  They are attached to a rock from my garden with holes drilled by handyman Brian and his new diamond drill bit!  They sit happily on a shelf.

WHEEE!! in Fiber Art Now Spring 2026

WHEEE!! has gotten a lot of attention.  From a photo I took of a rusty         truck by the highway in Big Sur, CA, to gallery walls, this art quilt will         be in the Spring edition of FAN.   Yippee!!!
